My name is Ryan James Yezak & I am a 23 year old filmmaker & blogger. I am from Houston, TX & currently reside in West Hollywood, CA. I have always loved to entertain, having spent a large part of my youth putting on productions however I could. I wrote, directed, and edited my first feature when I was 13 years old using a camcorder and a VCR. I attended the University of Texas at Austin and earned my degree in Radio-Television-Film.
During my junior year of college, I had the opportunity to assist on the production of two feature films, Bandslam & The 2 Bobs. When those productions wrapped, I moved to Los Angeles for UT's Semester In LA program where I took classes pertaining to the entertainment industry and interned for a production company, Oil Factory, Inc. I had the privilege of working on the Kings of Leon's music video "Sex On Fire", which was directed by one of my mentors, Sophie Muller.
In my last year of college, I served on the Executive Board of the College of Communication's student government as Internal Director. I also co-founded a fraternity, Delta Lambda Phi, and a non-profit organization, The Out and Educated Foundation. During that time I produced, directed, and edited a reality web series called In The Loop. In the summer of 2008, I had the privilege of pitching the show to Logo, a division of MTV Networks.
Once I graduated from college, I moved to Los Angeles and immediately began interning for two production companies, Dragon Lion Media & Monument Television & Film Company. I also worked for Roll International as their social media intern where I had the privilege to work on their first ever pistachio campaign. I then shot and edited 16 videos for their California Cuties brand.
I have built a fairly large online presence with multiple YouTube channels and viral videos. I created my own version of Britney Spears' single "3", which has accumulated 3 million views on YouTube & has been featured in numerous online editorials. I started a personal blog channel shortly thereafter as a way to channel my creativity. I then launced a collab channel titled Gays of the Week that showcases the perspectives of five unique individuals, one for each weekday. I also created a follow up music video to Lady Gaga's single "Telephone" that has accumulated nearly 1 million views on YouTube.
I am passionate about all things entertainment industry. I love directing, editing, producing, writing, and blogging. I have had a wide range of experience that includes film, reality tv, commercial, and music video production/post production, office assisting, public relations, marketing, social media outreach, blogging, and video blogging. I love to learn and so I welcome every job opportunity as a challenge to learn something new and gain experience.
